Diverse Social Perspectives can Improve the Country

The United States of America is one of the most diverse countries in the world, differentiated by its democracy, freedom, and opportunities. Diverse, social perspectives are needed to solve some of the most complex challenges that are currently facing our country, such as education, healthcare, the economy, and immigration.

In order for America to remain competitive in an increasingly global economy, creativity from diverse, social perspectives must be encouraged. Just as a brainstorming session can help formulate a number of excellent ideas for any number of problems, so do diverse perspectives. However, it’s important to note that these diverse perspectives are of no good unless they are included in mainstream politics. Political action should be taken so that specific ideas or movements are considered and implemented.

Promoting diverse social perspectives is extremely healthy for this country, and the inclusion of diverse perspectives will go a long way in helping America reach its full potential as a nation.

Changing Political Trends and Cultural Politics

The democratic process and political climate will continue to evolve as more and more minority groups become a larger part of the population, demanding more representation, and multicultural solutions. Because of this, cultural politics will become increasingly important in the years ahead. America has been integrating views and opinions of minorities more and more. However, in the future, these opinions and views will become increasingly valuable as they become central issues rather than ancillary considerations within the political dialogue. This change in political landscape could be seen as a threat to the current status quo, but would better be regarded as the chance to provide America with great opportunities with varied perspectives that will be included in the national dialogue; these diverse perspectives can encourage more creative solutions to the problems that we face as Americans, and will no doubt add strength to our country.

Change may be scary for many people, but in the case of changing political trends and cultural politics, these fears should turn into feelings of optimism as important multicultural perspectives have a chance to be considered and can unlock solutions to create a more prosperous country.

Diverse Social Perspectives Are Needed To Strengthen Our Nation

The rate of growth of minority populations in the United States has caused us to reach a point where the majority may soon become a minority. Although many feel threatened by this, this realization is actually an opportunity to add important diverse social perspectives that can improve our nation as we enter an increasingly global future.

America is dealing with a number of very important issues that will define our future. We are facing a globally competitive economy and we will need to embrace various perspectives if we plan to remain a major player. Immigration, energy, consumption, terrorism, health, globalization, and stability are all concerns that need to be addressed from various angles.

We face a critical point in American history where we can choose the path toward heightened prosperity or the path toward mediocrity, and with the help of diverse social perspectives, the ability to create a positive outcome is in our hands.

Where Has All The Immigration Commentary Gone?

The public’s interest in immigration reform has waned in light of the struggling state of the economy. Although this issue continues to be important to a great number of Americans, with more media covering job losses, strife on Capitol Hill and the War on Terrorism, immigration commentary is now increasingly difficult to find within traditional media sources, only playing a secondary role in the current healthcare debate.

With almost everyone now focused on other seemingly more pressing issues it may be some time before immigration commentary takes center stage in the mainstream media cycle. However, the repercussions that we are facing regarding immigration haven’t disappeared. Quite the contrary; immigration is a growing issue which deserves a great deal of attention as we face an increasingly interdependent global economy with a decline in the amount of skilled labor and talent in the workforce. Immigration is still important and if you are there remain media outlets that continue to discuss this issue responsibly, such as RedBrownandBlue.com

The immigration debate may have been muted in the mainstream media for now, that doesn’t mean that you have to be silent on the issue. Aside from seeking thoughtful immigration commentary, share your ideas with your elected representative and don’t hesitate to lend your voice to other intelligent immigration discussions.

Political Commentary Can Be a Double-Edged Sword

There is a palpable sense of disenchantment and frustration in America, as bankers make million dollar bonuses while the little guy is left to suffer. Health care reform seems to be at a standstill and people are continuing to lose their jobs, their homes, and their American dream. A small group of individuals in the media are trying to benefit from this devastation by utilizing political commentary to spread fear, insecurity, and uncertainty, leading to public panic and anger. Becoming angry about the current way things are in America is one thing, but action caused by inaccurate or incomplete information is quite another. Political changes may need to be made, but encouraging irrationality and violence is not the way to do so.

So how can we change America? First, it’s important to remember that we live in a country with democratic principles, meaning that we have the power to make changes, and although one individual can feel powerless, an entire group of us working together can wield a great deal of power. Unfortunately, many of us neglect our ability to effect change and remain inactive. For a democracy to fully realize its potential, the people must be involved. Listening to and absorbing political commentary is important in keeping abreast of the political landscape and issues that impact us all. However, we must be aware that commentators each have their own background, experience, and agendas. It is our job to inform ourselves by tapping into diverse and myriad news sources. RedBrownandBlue.com is one of those news sources with unique perspectives providing social, economic, and cultural commentary as well as allowing many people to voice their opinions.

Hispanic Politics to Play Bigger Role in the Future

One area of American politics which is sure to continue generating a great deal of impact in the years to come is Hispanic politics. With Hispanics making up more than 15 percent of the population and firmly positioned as America’s largest minority group, issues that impact this population has increasingly become important.

As Hispanic politics become more mainstream, there will be an increased need of innovative solutions that take into account the multicultural values when developing public policy in America. However, for us to develop multicultural solutions, we need multicultural representation. Minorities and Hispanics in particular, have historically been underrepresented in government. Increased organization by minority groups and increased exposure to honest and factual commentary on the difficult issues facing our nation will lead to a broader set of issues being brought to light and solved.

If you are interested in joining the process for progress in America, there are a variety of ways for you to do so. Learn more about various local organizations and become as informed about the political landscape as possible. Become involved in the democratic process and encourage others to do the same. Although our representatives are the ones that enact laws, it is up to all of us to demand that real positive change takes place, and that Hispanic politics play a greater role in the future.
